As we all know money drives the train in sports. How do you know when an agent, player, or owner is lying? When they say “its not about the money”. What a joke.
At least in one sport though the source of the money is front and center. No absurd declarations of intentions. The sport I’m talking about is NASCAR. All you have to do is look at the cars and the outfits the drivers are wearing and you know exactly where the money is coming from. Sponsors all over the place, nice and simple.
So, while I was watching some racing lately, I got to thinking about who the race teams absolutely wouldn’t accept as a sponsor. I mean, I’m pretty sure Viagra has sponsored one of these teams in the past, so to what level would some of these teams go?
I was particularly interested in all of this due to a little condition I’ve been fortunate enough to contract. Hemorrhoids. That’s right your’s truly is now a hemorrhoids sufferer. Welcome to the club kid. I’m sure my predicament has nothing to do with the fact that I spend a good deal of my time sitting on the couch watching sports. Oh hell no.
Anyway, once I realized this is what had been bugging the hell out of me for a few weeks, like anyone else I wanted a solution. I ended up using a product called Venapro. It’s been touted as a homeopathic solution that attacks not just the symptoms but the causes. Whatever, it works fine enough but that’s not the point.
The reason I bring this up is to get back to the point of this post. Would a race team accept a hemorrhoids cream as their sponsor? I’m sure they would it’s not that taboo but just a funny thought. What do you think? What are some sponsors a race team would definitely not accept?
